So, Don and I were watching the 1945 movie ‘The Lost Weekend‘ a few weeks back and I became completely enthralled with character, Gloria, who is the sassy girl at the bar. I love her. Anyway, one of her sayings in the movie is That’s ridic and/or Don’t be ridic (short for ridiculous).
That’s ridic.
Try it. It’s very satisfying.
Rye, of course, was a little thrown off by it at first and found it to be an inappropriate term for a 40 year old mom to use. “Mom, that is absurd. Really, you are too old to say something like that. It just sounds silly,” were close to his actual words.
But, whatever.
I have no plans of stopping.
