Happenings This Weekend:
A Glorious Victory
Rye’s basketball team tied for top team in their league and then won 1st place in their league tournament over the weekend. In this case, the win was a particularly satisfying victory as the coach and players on the team that was their top competition were really pompous projected winners (they thought they were going to win the tournament and were very vocal and sassy about it). The coach on the rival team is also a super-yeller and is nasty not only to his own team members but also to the players of whatever team he is playing. So, it was quite lovely to see them get stuffed and served. And in a big way. By about 20 points.
This one ranks in the Very Satisfying category.

Top Bipolar Blog
In other happenings, I noticed this weekend that Raising Bipolar had been listed as a top bipolar blog. According to Psychology Degree Online, Raising Bipolar is one of the top 5 best bipolar blogs.
Here’s what they say:
The diagnosis of bipolar disorder often has life-changing consequences for both the patient and his or her family. One way that people with bipolar disorder cope with the emotional highs and lows, the various drug and therapy regimens, and relationships with family and friends is to maintain a blog chronicling their progress and treatment. We’ve searched the web to find 50 of the best bipolar disorder blogs.
Raising Bipolar: Meg writes about the challenges and rewards of raising her son Rye, who was diagnosed with early onset bipolar disorder.
- Why we love it: It’s impossible not to love Rye.
- Favorite Post: Charles Raison’s dangerous advice.
So, thank you Psychology Degree Online. Also in the top 5 were Ask A Bipolar and Mama Bear’s, My Son Has 2 Brains , both of which I also love.
