This is the Opera we saw while in New York. We got balcony box tickets for $22 each and this was bar none the best ticket price for the best stage performance I have ever seen in my life. The Opera was in English and was 1.5 hours long so it was good for kids and families. The scenery and sets were incredible. No, beyond incredible. They alone were worth the price of admission but the music, of course, was great as well.
If you ever have the chance, see an Opera at the Met. Even if you aren’t a big fan of Opera. The building is beautiful and the whole experience is something you will never forget.

OMG I am so jealous!!!! I was a voice major in college and The Magic Flute is by far my favorite. How magical it must have been and the price seems like nothing!!!!!
