A few weeks back Don and I took Rye and a couple of his friends to see a World War II airshow. I can’t tell you how cool this airshow was. We saw tons of different WWII airplanes, a couple of different sets of parachuters, a trick plane and an air show with people walking on the airplanes. It was really cool. The final planes that came out did a show called Tora! Tora! Tora! which was a reenactment of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, explosives and all (see below). It was really spectacular and something that I don’t think that any of us will forget. We all really enjoyed it.
One of the great things about homeschooling is that it reminds me to always be teaching. Rye and his friends got a good lesson on World War II and we all had a day to remember.
