I watched this film the other day for the second time and all I can say is that if you have not seen this film, see it. It is incredible. It is the most haunting documentary film I have ever seen and we watch a lot of documentary films over here. The film follows a group of children in Romania that have either left their abusive homes or left their abusive orphanages in exchange for a life of living on the streets. The children live with no support system whatsoever except each other. And some of the kids are as young as 7 years old.
It really gives a good insight into how much trauma kids can and do endure.
This film is so moving I’m not sure I will ever forget the faces of the kids whose stories they tell. And I will always wonder how those kids are doing now or what ever became of them.

I watched that movie several years ago. It hurt my heart.
I watched this documentary a number of times, there are 20,000 children roaming the streets of Romania. Alot of them are huffing Aurolac. It is sad. Christina got hooked on heroin, she leads another older group of children. Violetta “Macarena” is even more incoherent because of Aurolac. The brother and sister were seperated, Ana went home and Marian went to live with other children. The kid above, I forget his name, is being taken care of by a man in France and this kid is going to make something of himself. What a moving documentary, I watch alot of documentaries, also, and this is one shocking film.
Mihai is the kid that is most likely to succeed. As long as he is not with his family, he was afraid of his father, though he missed his other family members. If you have not seen this documentary I suggest you go out and rent it.
So interesting to get a follow up. Thanks. That is really a haunting film. If you know of any other great documentaries, let me know. I love them.
