I saw this movie Saturday night and I’m hooked. I’ve now been driving my son and husband nuts going around the house singing:
Hello Daddy, Hello Mom, I’m your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb!
As for the movie itself, I really liked it. It’s not a monster of character development but it’s visually beautiful to watch and if you were ever 15 and had any of free-spirited streak, you’ll relate to it. These girls, from what I can tell, were on the road touring at 15. And they definitely had that whole Southern California thing going on. It was fun to watch. And interesting to see the start of Joan Jett.
At the end of the movie it said Cherie Currie is now a chainsaw artist in Southern California. Cool. And, of course, Joan Jett is Joan Jett. Superstar. Crimson and clover. Over and over. It would have been a ton of fun to be in this band, that’s for sure.
And did the 70’s just have the best music or what? It was so raw and real.
And on a side note, when I was about 7 years old I had sandals just like the ones above. I loved those shoes. The 70’s rocked.
