Oh, The Wisteria

We had what felt like such a long winter here I almost forgot what it was like when spring comes along.  It’s beautiful here.  And the wisteria, the wisteria is crazy beautiful.  And it’s everywhere.

This is a picture of our street from many years ago.  The street looks the same now, minus the small boy in the road who is now huge.

Today I go get my hair highlighted.  I have let the roots grow out more than normal trying to decide if I want to stay blond or go back to being a brunette.  Most of my life I have been brunette.  Then when I started getting some gray hair I decided to go blond for a while to change things up and now everyone likes the blond better.  A lot better.  I’m a bit partial to being brunette myself but I guess I’ll stay blond for a while.  Don and Rye overwhelmingly says it looks better blond.   Supposedly it looks perkier, more modern, etc.  Ok, whatever.  Blond it is.   I’m normally not one to cave to popular opinion but in this case I’m not the one that has to look at me so I’ll go with the flow.

Anyway, while I’m becoming super blond, I am dropping Rye and his friend at the outdoor walking mall in town so they can cruise around and eat lunch, shop etc. (it is Spring Break here).  They are very excited about this.  This means freedom.  Mall cruising.  Eating at McDonald’s.  More freedom.  Hanging out sans mom and/or dad.

They love it.

I love wisteria, always wanted an arbor with that growing on it.

I’ve been doing my own highlighting ala Revlon for 6 years, found a kit that keeps the hair the way it looked all of my life, but….the last 6 months more gray underneath, really bugs me too.

Actually, I even have cut my own hair for 6 yrs now that I think about it, I can’t remember the last time I was in a hair salon for myself. Oh well, not in the budget.

Meg, I appreciate wisteria as well although unfortunately it is not prevalent right now where I live. It is nice to catch up on your blog and the picture is beautiful.
