FUssy

As for the homefront, the good news is that Rye made it to school yesterday for the first time on a Monday in a while so good news there.  And I was able to work all day yesterday so double good on that.  The bad news is that Lord Have Mercy Rye came home yesterday in a really not-so-pleasant mood.  I mean he was fussy with a capital FU.   Super Crab.

All the way until he went to bed, for peet’s sake.  And he was seeming a little weird and off as well, which had me worried.   He was distant and I had that ‘oh no, here we go again’ feeling.

But I tried to think positive and hoped he was just overdone and overtired and we gave him the benadryl early, got him to bed early, gave him a massage and hoped for the best.  And alas, much to our surprise he got up this morning, went to breakfast with Don and got to school on time.  So, we couldn’t have asked for anything better.  And he was perky and connected and back to his normal self this morning and not all weird and off.

Good news.

That’s quite a difference in crabs – good for him. Hopefully the happy crab will continue for all your sakes.

although those “happy” crabs look like they’re cooking something up…

I loved catching up on your blog. I think you and I were having a bawling, howling, crying meltdown at the same time and, damn, it felt good! Rye at the mall with friends, sleep-overs, a girlfriend for goodness sakes! I have missed so much! I read your last post and it reminded me how I am super sensitive to my daughter’s moods and on alert when I was never that way with my older daughter. Ahh, we are all changed! Take care, C.
