It’s Alright

One of the things that has happened as a result of me writing this blog is that I find myself reflecting back on my life a lot as I look to gauge how to raise Rye.  What was I doing when?  How did I like it?  What would I keep the same?  What would I change?  And then of course I think, how will Rye look back on his life?  What will he think of his childhood and teen years when he looks back on them as an adult?  Etc., etc.

The good news is that when I look back on my life, I look at it with great fondness.  I have lived a very full life (and that might even be an understatement).  Yes, I have had some bad times as we all have.  But overall, it’s been a lot of adventure and a lot of fun.  I have studied many different things, traveled to many different parts of the world,  lived in many different parts of the country as well as a brief time abroad and I have had some very meaningful relationships with people who have significantly influenced and altered my world.   Looking back on it all,  I wouldn’t change even one part as each and every person and part of my life thus far has made a significant impact on who I am today.  And I would not trade that for anything.

Anyway, with that I found this video while I was looking around YouTube.

This band was part of the world I lived in during my high school years.  Late 80’s, SF/Bay Area.

It was alright.

No, it was better than alright.  It was a blast.
