Warrior Mom & Daughter, they are!

Cinda and Linea are a mother-daughter duo who are traveling the country speaking to various groups about Bipolar Disorder.
Cinda is a Special Education Professor in Seattle and Linea is her daughter who is a college student, artist and young adult living with bipolar disorder.
These two ladies are out on the foot path spreading the message of hope for students, families and individuals living and dealing with bipolar disorder. They are also writing a book about their experiences, which I look forward to reading.
They have a blog – well, one joint and 2 individual blogs – where they journal their lives. And this is how I came to know them.
The combined blog is:
And you can access the individual ones from this site as well.
Check them out.
From what I have read so far, it looks like they have been through a lot and are here on the other end smiling.
And, honest to God, Linea looks so much like me when I was her age (or visa-versa) it gives me the creeps! (and hopefully they don’t sue me for pirating this photo from their site). She’s lovely!

Hi Meg,
My mom just sent me a link to this page. How wonderful! Thank you for sharing our story and thank you for sharing your story! I think it is so very important to talk about these things because while we are getting closer to a world void of mental health stigma, we are still very much entrenched in it.
I hope that the medication withdrawal crisis begins to get a little easier. I’m not sure if you have come across the icarus project in your research, but they have a sort of zine they made called the “harm reduction guide to coming off psychiatric drugs”. You can visit the page here: http://theicarusproject.net/HarmReductionGuideComingOffPsychDrugs.
Thanks again for your great words and thanks for being such a great supporter. I know that I would be in such a very different place if it wasn’t for such a great family, mom, and support system!
